Kayla Johnson's Swimsuit Calendar Photo Session

So this photo project session was probably one of the most fun adventures ever! Kayla had asked me to shoot her for an upcoming swimsuit calendar locally produced at TN Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. Of course, she is "Miss November"-because that's when hunting season starts-and if you know Kayla personally, you know that she is FULL of Southern charm-and LOVES the outdoors-hunting, fishing, ect.
So after doing her make-up and getting her all dolled up, we drove down to Johnson's Chapel to shoot her at Center Hill Lake, mostly because she wanted a picture on her favorite fishing rock :D (As pictured above) ... I was so grateful of the water reflecting perfectly, lighting up her make-up, the sun setting with her in fashion swim wear sporting her favorite cowgirl boots matched her personality perfectly, and although I met a few angry bees that didn't appreciate us invading their rock space, the shots I got were GREAT!
After shooting there, on our way out, she sees a dead turkey in the distance at the edge of the parking lot, stops the car immediately, (Like I mean IMMEDIATELY! Jolting my head into whiplash! LoL!) and tells me, "Oh my gosh is that a dead turkey?! I am SO PUTTING THAT in the back of my trunk and bringing it home to my Daddy and telling him I killed it?!" I thought she was joking UNTIL she jolted the car in park, hopped out & ran over to it! Ha ha, my shock subsided and I decided to keep shooting-how random and awesome is it that Miss November finds a dead turkey when she is, in fact, the "Thanksgiving" holiday month-God is so crafty! Hehe, needless to say, it had already been gutted and we had to leave him behind (such a shame ;) ) but he was a great photo prop!!!
After leaving her favorite fishing spot, we took more pictures at a waterfall cascading near the River Road. The images turned out amazing, and even though we had the police blue light us (I think he just wanted to stop and talk to Kayla! Haha!) we got AMAZING SHOTS! It's so amazing how beautiful White County is! Sometimes the most beautiful backdrop settings are RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!
Thank you Kayla for allowing me to capture a beautiful swimsuit photo collection for you! You are a beautiful woman, inside and out, and I look forward to seeing you grace the covers of magazines in the future! :D

Love & Light Always,
Serena
